What is Sleep Apnoea?

Sleep Apnoea is a sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing or instances of very low breathing during sleep. It can affect your health and quality of life if left untreated.

If sleep apnoea is left untreated it may increase your risk of high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, heart attack and stroke. Treating sleep apnoea may eliminate these risks.1

Sleep Apnoea TREATMENT

The most effective and widely accepted treatment for sleep apnoea is CPAP (Constant Positive Airway Pressure) services. It does not involve drugs or surgery, and is a bedside device which gently delivers pressurised air via a mask to keep your upper airway open. Treatment can be organised through our pharmacy after diagnosis.
